Gamla Stan /Old Town/ is a medieval sanctuary that bears witness to historical events. Gamla Stan has been largely preserved over the centuries. Why is the narrowest street only 90 cm wide?

- The German Church Founded in 1571, the church is located in an area that was dominated by Germans in the Middle Ages.
- Mårten Trotzig Street The narrowest street in Stockholm with a width of 90 cm.
- The Iron Square The second oldest square in Stockholm, dating back to the 1300s.
- Merchant’s Square This was a thoroughfare between two main squares and contains a copy of the sculpture “Sankt Göran och draken”.
- Iron Boy Known in English as the “little boy looking at the moon”.
- At fifteen centimetres high, it is the smallest public statue in Stockholm.
- The Royal Palace The official residence and main royal palace of the Swedish monarch.
- The Great Church This is the oldest church in Gamla Stan and was founded in the 13th century.

- The Nobel Museum A museum dedicated to the dissemination of information about the Nobel Prize and its founder, Alfred Nobel.

- The House of Nobility Originally used by the aristocracy for parliamentary meetings.
- Riddarholm Church This is the burial church of the Swedish monarchs and is one of the oldest churches in Stockholm.
- Birger Jarls Square The square was renamed after the traditional founder of Stockholm.

- WHERE AND WHEN?
Our Free Tour Stockholm Old Town start on time at 10.00 rain or shine and last a leisurely 1 hour and 30 minutes.
We meet outside the subway station at Gamla Stan. We finish our tour in the Old Town.
- Please note that organised groups of more than 5 people must book a private tour. All organised groups of tourists /schools, students, all commercial and non-profit companies and organisations/ are NOT allowed on our free walking tours. You are welcome to book a private tour in advance at an affordable price.
