Speaking about the most attractive capitals Stockholm comes up first. In winter it looks like a fairytale place due to its clean and neat streets and decorations put on nearly every building. By some reason the old town of Stockholm is much more attractive in in winter. It possesses its own unmatched atmosphere with its handmade souvenirs, marketplace, delicious chestnuts and glogg.

There is a worldwide known place in Stockholm called Skansen. Since 1891 Skansen has been the most amusing open-air museum in Scandinavia. All types of local architecture can be found here. Moreover, there are whole buildings not only preserved until now but still working! You just need to come here in the last evening before Christmas and see those schools, post offices and forges.
Skansen is also a place of the Christmas marketplace during whole December. One couldn’t think of winter Stockholm tourism without this fabulous place. You are not feeling like purchasing anything? OK, but what do you think about baking Christmas bread in the 19th century bakery? Looks rather challenging, doesn’t it?

Stureplan square in Stockholm will charm you even if you are a convinced shopping hater. People love strolling around and watching cute things. It’s really a great plan to visit to Stureplan before Christmas. There is no better place in Europe which has this Scandinavian spirit.
Ice-skating is a great solution after shopping, the skating rink is quite near to Stureplan. The skating rink visitors are mainly foreigners. It means that if you like meeting new people it seems to be a perfect place for that.
Family entertainment
Without a doubt, museums of Stockholm are a great leisure solution for kids and adults. Anyway, there are some activities aimed mainly on families with little kids. Stockholm circus would be a great choice. Each performance there is good for watching it with family. Your kids will have so much fun! Stockholm circus is a must-see attraction for any family tour.
There are also ferry tours. One can find a ferry just near the Opera and join a great tour around the see area.
